Dr Kumkum Banerjee, Associate Professor, Dept of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering was conferred the award of "Distinguished Woman in Metallurgical Engineering" by Venus International Foundation, Chennai on 3 March 2018. She was also the Guest of Honour and Technical Speaker at the Venus International Women Awards Ceremony held at Radha Regent Chennai.
